“ … whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Gal. 6:7
Now that we’re the children of God’s Kingdom, we need to operate by Kingdom principles (Colossian 1:13). It is vital for us to renew our mind first ( Romans 12:1-2 ). If we want to be successful we need to change the way we think. And of the things we need to renew our mind is the kingdom principle of “sowing and reaping.”
Everything operates on a seed principle. Your life now is the harvest (product) of what you sowed in the past. We need to be “seed-minded” instead of need-minded – think in terms of the seed. For example: Our words are seeds we sow that well reap a harvest (Proverbs 6:22; Proverbs 18:21; Mark 11:22-23). So take note of the following concerning your seeds:
- It is God’s will for your fruitfulness, prosperity and success (3 John 2). Therefore begin to sow good seeds.
- Learn the ways of Christ (John 15:5)
- You determine the harvest you want. Then you must sow accordingly.
- Every seed produces after its kind (Genesis 1:11-12)
- The seed must be sowed – it must be set in operation.
- The harvest depends on how much you sow (2 Corinthians 9:6).
- The harvest depends on where you sow (Mark 4:3-8).
- The harvest is dependent on when you sow (Gal 6:9).
- Don’t mix you seed (Deuteronomy 22:9). You cannot mix faith with doubt.
- Always sow in faith, expecting a harvest.
- God always gives seeds to the sower (2 Corinthians 9:10).
- It is impossible for God to lie: what He said, He will fulfill (Hebrews 6:18).
Remember, the life is in the seed. We must sow the seed before we can get the harvest. Let all of us begin to sow now!
